New Zealand Speedway Awards - TePapa Wellington - 14th June 2014
Firstly we attended the Elf Super Cup Prize Giving a couple of weeks back and very humbled with being awarded a trophy for "Promotional Work". This stems from putting the car on display at most rounds throughout the season. And following on from this also very pleased to be announced as a finalist for "Best Presented Speedway Vehicle" for the annual NZ Speedway Awards. It's great to be recognised for the effort we put in to making 811 look sharp week after week, meeting after meeting. Some of the images from the season are below and it's here I will mention that our car never arrived at the start of any meeting with patched up panel repairs or race tape holding it together. We always strive to repair and present 811 to a high standard at each and every meeting. A huge thanks goes to Glen for his enthusiasm in keeping the car looking so good.
Pam & I decided to attend this year's awards and it was great to be part of the night with so many class acts from throughout speedway in NZ. Also a great relief to have www.woodfordglen.co.nz win the catrgory "Best Speedway Track Website". This one has been a long time coming but again very humbled to have the trophy at home (thank you to the club).
So ... where from here? Well we have one more very important function to attend and that is the annual Koru Care Auction in July. Thanks to both X Factor Cars and Oasis Concrete & Paving, we have put together a table of 10.
When it comes to 811 it will be more of the same for us. We have started the winter rebuild and the car will be the same colour, same graphics, same running gear and hopefully just get the driver in a slightly better mindset and try to maintain some reasonable results. That sounds easy but I know the next season is going to be more tougher than ever. New cars plus new driver/car combos means the level of competition is gonna be even higher. Can we keep up will be the big question and at this stage all we can offer is our very best with what we have got. BRING IT ON I SAY !!!

Battle of the Stocks - Woodford Glen - 28th & 29th March 2014
This weekend we were supporting the annual Battle of the Stocks meeting on both the Friday and Saturday nights.
This was also our last weekend of racing for the season before Pam & I head off for a well earned and overdue break.
On the Friday it was just Casey & I so we were thankful of a trouble free run throughout the night which meant we didn’t have too much work to do between races.
Very happy with lap times just behind Burs and Richie in heat 1 plus the 5th place in the feature race and better still no damage to repair overnight.
Saturday was a little different with some of the drivers trying a little too hard and causing a substantial amount of crash damage to other cars. We were involved in other people’s incidents twice and each time on the receiving end of un-necessary damage.
811 survived and kept going turning in some seriously good lap times along the way too. However in the feature (our very last race of the season) I left the fuel cap off (What a dumb arse!) Thankfully the officials noticed the fuel pouring out during the first laps of the race and sent us infield otherwise the rear of the car could have easily been torched.
Still a very enjoyable weekend and I am more than pleased with our current reliability, race pace and performance. Also hoping next season should see some further improvements too

So … that's yet another season done and dusted for us at Nees Racing. I think thats around 32 years of racing clocked up WOW! Performance of the 811 super saloon has improved immensely and we now find ourselves amongst some real good competition a lot more often. We have been putting a lot of effort into making 811 as reliable as possible and this has paid off big time. The new team shirts have definately lifted the look of our team too.
From memory we only had 3 dnf’s throughout the season and 2 of those were crash damage from someone else’s mistakes. The 3rd was the fuel cap issue mentioned above dammit! Only 1 dnf throughout the whole Elf Super Cup series which was instrumental in us staying in the Top 10.
There's been a whole bunch of high's and not too many low's for 811 this season. Like winning a heat at the opening round of the Elf Cup and performing well in top 8 shoot-outs (regardless of what officials think) and all I gotta say is that "every dog has it's day" ... we just need our's to come a little bit more frequently. Let's hope we can continue the improvement into next season.

Meantime I want to thank a lot of people who have assisted and supported our racing along the way.
If it wasn’t for this support we wouldn’t be racing so I urge you to use these companies where possible. Graham & Kate Williamson has injected some of the X Factor into our racing and we are very proud to have them on board with the team. Huge thanks to Les and Gail of Les Hunter Racing Products who have done a lot of work on our suspension, brakes and various components to ensure 811 remains reliable.
Oasis Concrete & Paving were another surprise to come on board at the beginning of the season and we can vouch for their workmanship too. Wentworth Carrying have ensured that transporting anything of ours anywhere is always trouble-free which is hugely appreciated, thank you Brett & Ange.
Pineacres Restaurant & Bar have again supported us by keeping the team lubricated. Thank you to new owners Kerry & Rowan. Dwayne McLaren of McLaren Excavating has assisted Nees Racing for many years and their support is always very much appreciated. We have "blinged out" a few of their diggers over the years too.
Thank you to Kevin Corin of Kaiapoi Trailers who has been called on (usually in a hurry) to carry out welding repairs for us plus Kaiapioi Panel & Paint have ensured that 811 looks awesome so thanks heaps guy's.
Our annual trips to Blenheim have always resulted in Noel & Trish Noble looking after us at Aston Court Motels which is also very much appreciated.
And if it wasn't for my team we wouldn't have a car leave the workshop and get spruced up between races trackside.
Glen Campbell & Warren Slee have done a heap of work maintaining 811 this season plus it's great to see Natasha Rodgers in the workshop on occasion.
And a huge thanks goes to Mr Methanol (you know who you are) for ensuring we get our fuel fix each race night. Just love the smell of that alcohol being burnt! Thank You mostly to Pam for putting up with things like cars outside while the race car takes priority in the workshop, being dragged round race tracks when I know you would rather be elsewhere. And a big thanks to Casey for helping trackside week after week and for taking hours of video footage. Awesome work!
So 811 will get a bit of a spruce up and some new bits over the winter months but meantime Pam & I are heading off to the states for a few weeks then back to Nelson in May for the annual Elf Super Cup AGM and Prize Giving.
If you've read all of the above and still here then Thank YOU for your support too.
Cheers for now ... Flash

Super Saloon Stampede - Cromwell - 22nd Mar 2014
Glen & I decided to take the trip down to Cromwell for the Super Saloon Stampede which had been promoted to capture some of the north islanders while they were down here. We had the pleasure of staying with
Graham & Kate yet again. I gotta say thank you so much to our X Factor Cars team who have accommodated us several times this season. Cromwell is always a lovely place to visit and I just love the track too. So onto the racing ... now I'm not sure if it was my expectation to go well or the busy work week but for some reason I just couldn't get 811 flowing nicely on track. At times it appeared that Nana was driving! The only consolation was that some of the faster cars dropped out of the feature race which promoted 811 up the results table somewhat. However the car escaped without a scratch (due to Nana driving obviously) so we stayed up socialising till nearly 4am. At the time that seemed like a good idea but the next day when I had to drive back home then start night shift it didn't LOL.
Next meeting is home at the Glen in support of the Battle of the Stocks. Just gotta kick Nana outta the seat.

North v South Supernats - Woodford Glen - 14th & 15th March 2014
This meeting was getting "hyped"
as much as any NZ Championship would and not suprising when you look down the driver listings.
The North Island had a combination of talent including drivers totalling 7 previous NZ Championship wins among them. The South Island team had none, so it was always going to be a battle. Home town advantage doesn't really come into it anymore but that didn't mean the South team wasn't ready for the challenge.
I consider it a privilege for 811 to be attending such a prestigous event and it has taken 6 rounds of hard out racing throughout the season to make it into this event. It was very deserving/rewarding for the entire 811 team since we have been working so hard to ensure the car remains reliable and as competitive as we can be. And it is fitting to mention that only 5 drivers have made it into this event for the south team two years in a row ... Dennis Bolt, Richie Taylor, Shane Carey, Gavin Hill and myself.
Since this was a team event and maximum points accumulation was the aim, 811 started virtually every race from the rear of the grid. This made it real tough for us to make much progress but we finished all races making a few passes along the way and adding to the points haul.
Kevin Moore had our car performing very well by the end of the night with a lot of other teams struggling for grip. I was lovin' it but just couldn't catch many passing opportuntiesL Still ... the points tally had the south leading (just) so it was onto the saturday night.
I personally was really looking forward to this night cos we were racing "under the radar" somewhat. The 30 lap final was to have ALL drivers individually decide the grid by choosing who started beside them with fastest from the rear. So I reckon we could have ended up with a reasonable draw around the front rows of the grid. With the pace we had by the end of the night on a slick track we may have been able to turn out a real good result (as we did last year in Wellington). However the weather put pay to any chances as the heavy rain started just as we got 811 onto the track for our first 4x4 heat race. Result ... meeting cancelled dammit!
Click to enlarge imageMore than pleased with the result though ... the South Island winning overall and taking the honours which seems only fair since the north won it last year. It would be amazing if we could achieve making the team for three straight years but somehow I get the feeling there will be a bunch of drivers with different ideas on that so it is gonna be REAL tough next season.
Where to from here? Cromwell of course to take in the Suoer Saloon Stampede next weekend. Then back to the Glen for two nights of support racing at the Battle of the Stocks. See ya's trackside.
Cheers ... Flash

Elf Super Cup Rounds 5 & 6 - Blenheim / Nelson - 21st & 22nd Feb 2014
Blimmin Heck!!! Am I knackered after that weekend of racing. That was hard work especially in the heat and dust of Blenheim's Eastern States Speedway. Was very pleased to have Warren Slee and Maureen Bolt join us for this trip thanks guy's. We didn't have a particularly good run on the Friday night at Blenheim though. I made only 1 pass from the rear grid start in heat 1 so was hoping a better run from the grid 2 start in heat 2 would be the go, however a poor tyre choice saw us lose around 4 places dammit. This put us off grid 15 for the 25 lap feature which was always gonna be hard work on the slick dusty track. Was able to gain a few placings eventually finishing around 11th which in the conditions was reasonable I guess.
The next day we had the use of a large workshop and washbay to prep 811. It's here that I've got to mention that Pam & Maureen failed to turn up because they got lost at coffee cafe's and shops in Richmond "Go Figure!" But a big thanks to Scott, Rowan and Corban for all the help. Warren and Casey did a lot of work to get 811 ready and funnily enough the other girls turned up just as we all finished.
Now the points chase for the top 10 positions in the Elf Super Cup were getting really tight. We were in 9th overall with only a 50 points buffer ahead of Shane Carey and Shane McIntyre a further 50 points behind. I was hopeful of a reasonable run in Nelson cos I just love the flat out pace of the tight track. But I also knew that Shane Carey would go well at his home track. So although I have been out-scoring the 12n car, dropping back to 10th overall was probably more likely to happen anyhow but I knew I had to score enough points to stay in that top 10. Failing to start any heat was gonna be the end of it for 811. So wouldn't ya know it ... heat 1 we were involved in a severe crash caused by another car spinning. We suffered our first and only dnf of the series in this race which at the time was absolutely gut-wrenching! Especially when I surveyed the damage in the pits I initially cursed, threw down the gloves and was about to walk away in disgust. Damage apart from chassis bars, bodywork and alloy panelling was all to the right front corner suspension. Top arm, bottom arm, wheel, castor rod, steering rod, shock absorber destroyed, rod ends etc and the worst was seeing a critical suspension mounting point torn from the chassis. After some more cursing and a little re-think we got stuck into pulling the front end out of the car. We had all the spares neccessary and just had the chassis mounting as the major to sort. Paddy North came to the rescue with a welder and before long the new supension components were getting bolted back in. Who would have thought in such a short time frame we could get 811 ready but what a HUGE effort by our team to get back on track. Big thanks to Warren and Maureen cos if it wasn't for you guy's we wouldn't have made it back onto the track for heat 2. For this heat 811 was off the front row and I knew without a reasonable wheel alignment we would be in trouble. When a couple of cars got the better start I opted to drive wide and let the field pass cos I didn't want to be the cause of a crash. This could have been the fatal mistake but at this stage I was no longer chasing the top 10 position but just trying to finish races. This put 811 right off the back of the grid in the 25 lap feature. The car felt better for this race so I just pressed on and even managed to make several passes. At race end I really thought we had missed out on the top 10 to race against the North Islanders. Felt gutted cos I really enjoyed participating in the North v South event in Wellington last year and had been striving to do the same again this year.
After a while during packing away our gear, I was informed that we HAD scraped through and held onto that 10th place by only a couple of dozen points. PHEW ... you can imagine how rapt I was and several people said I was grinning from ear to ear for the remainder of the evening. Just goes to show ... Never Ever Give Up, You Only Fail When You Stop Trying!!!
Although we have a severely wounded car to fix I am confident 811 will compete at the North v South event at Woodford Glen on 14 & 15 March. Gonna be a real busy few weeks so gotta go do some work.
Cheers from the TOP10 LOL ... Flash

Woodford Glen - Remembrance & Canterbury Championships - 14/15 Feb 2014
Geez these two nighters are starting to wear both me and 811 out. Friday saw us back at the Glen for the annual Remembrance Championships. For some reason over recent years our luck has always abandoned us at this meeting. Usually contested on Boxing Day each year but this season it was rained out so each classes event has been distributed to other mettings throughout the race calendar. It's a bit of a shame really because in my mind the event doesn't get the same exposure/recognition it deserves. Not that I'm superstitious but I was somewhat dubious about competing in this event due to the amount of trouble we have had in the past plus the fact we have another big weekend in Blenheim and Nelson staright after this. However on track we headed and the format was three heats with combined points deciding the champion. Sure enough 811 suffered frontal damage when Dennis Bolt half spun then stalled his car just as we hit the gas in turn 4 mid race. We still finished the heat and then got stuck into fixing the damage. There was little passing on the track unless you were very brave but often it left cars losing places in the process. We were more than happy to come away with a 3rd place in heat one and content with 6th= overall. However when I drove into the pits after the last heat suddenly the steering failed. It turned out the power steer servo had stripped the output spline which is an area of the car I have never pulled apart before. So lucky to not have this happen during a race because the outcome could have been catastrophic! Glen & I spent Saturday repairing the car and ensuring all was good to go plus I gotta say thanks heaps to Trevor Elliott for selling us some of his spares to get us going again.

Saturday night was a different format with three heats combining points to determine the grids for a 20 lap final. The winner of this final race to be crowned Canterbury Champion. Again we started and had trouble. Racing contact had the diff move accross in the car and sever the rear brake line. I gotta tell ya that racing one of these things without brakes is not a good idea. Managed to finish the race and then set to restoring the brakes and replace the diff mounts. Heats two and three were lots better finishing further up the field but the points accumulated still only had us starting the final from grid ten. This race was probably the best for us over the weekend cos I managed to make four passes and challenge as far ahead for 5th place but settling for 6th overall. Gotta be pleased with the performance and results we are achieving with 811 especially when you consider it's the oldest car in the field and probably the lowest budget.
So off to Blenheim and Nelson this weekend for the final two rounds of the Elf Super Cup. Really looking forward to these two nights cos it will finally determine if we can stay in the top ten and make the team to take on the north islanders. Fingers crossed for some more great, clean racing and some good luck thrown in.
Cheers ... Flash

Cromwell - 7th & 8th Feb 2014 - South Island Champs plus ELF Super Cup Round 4
Another double header weekend of racing and this time we were off to Cromwell to take in the South Island Championships on the friday night then round 4 of the Elf Super Cup on the saturday night.
We headed down a day early but sadly Glen our main crew member for the weekend couldn't make it. So we gave Kevin Moore a call and he immediately took up the opportunity to join us and help out. This also proved to be very beneficial as the racing progressed over the two nights but more about that in a moment.
Very thankful to Kate and Graham Williamson of X Factor Cars for putting us up again or is that putting up with us? We put 811 on display then tested out the X Factor Cars 600hp Camaro by going to pick Kevy up from Queenstown airport. What a weapon that car is, supercharger and all. Once we got trackside it didn't take long for Kevy to find a few problems with 811 so he got stuck in and sorted it. The SI Champs was a bit mediocre for us in a way cos I never really made a lot of progress, however 811 finished 10th overal which considering the level of compeition in this class now is a very solid result.
The Elf Super Cup on the saturday started off a bit similar in that I struggled somewhat and only made one pass each heat. However the combined placings proved to be enough to make the Top 8 Shoot Out. Obviously a lot of other teams were having trouble making passes as well. It was the second heat when the set-up changes came on strong that 811 showed just what potential is still in our car as the first video below shows. Our best lap time was 17.06 sec which isn't too shabby at all. And to be racing hard out alongside the likes of 2nz Ian Burson was a great feeling.
Now onto the Top 8 Shoot Out. I really enjoy these and although I had never progressed during them in the past I felt a bit more confident this time round. I guess it's the opportunity to really give the car 100% without the same risk of damageas in a large field of cars. So first up I challenged 34n Mark Carey for grid 6 and won which was very pleasing, but 811 wasn't finished yet by a long way. Greg Keegan was racing Josh Boulton's 891 car for the weekend and he drove onto the track to challenge us for grid 5. As Kevy said to our team mates trackside "tyres on 811 are warm now" we pulled off another win taking us to grid 5. Thanks for all that mentoring over the years Greg, I think it has started to pay off LOL.
Next up was 73c Mark Grocott who has been going extremely well and I really thought he beat us for that grid 4 spot. But again we got to turn 1 first and managed to get yet another win. Next up was 58c Richie Taylor and man was this challenge hard work. After several attempts at the start we still managed to get that crucial turn one entry and advanced onto grid 3. Now at this stage there's a whole bunch of drivers and crews scratching their heads I reckon and I'm just one of them LOL. Local fast man and chassis builder 26t Shane McIntyre was the next to challenge us and although 811 led for the first half lap, I just entered turn three too slow and Shane got round and scored the win. To say this was a buzz would be an understatement and to have so many people comment and congratulate us afterwards was an awesome feeling. After around four years of hard graft, it is very, very pleasing to have 811 performing so well at this level.
It was just as well 811 advanced four grid positions during the shoot out cos once I got into the 25 lap feature race (amongst the traffic again) I lost a bunch of placings dammit. I have really got to get my confidence sorted among the tighter fields of cars. However we are now placed 7th overall in the series with two more rounds to go. Those being Blenheim & Nelson on 21st & 22nd Feb. Fingers crossed we can survive the battle that is looming. Meantime we have the Canterbury Championships at Woodford Glen on the 15th Feb so see ya's there.
Cheers ... Flash

Elf Super Cup Rounds 2 & 3 - Invercargill / Dunedin - 24th & 25th Jan 2014
What a "full on" weekend that was! Headed to Invercargill for round 2 of the Elf Super Cup Series and it was a pleasure to put 811 on display at
X Factor Cars
for the day. Mind you had a test drive of their yummy 2013 Mustang GT while there. Very Nice too thanks team.
Luckily we managed to score a drum of methanol from Owen Dixon as our usual supply was delayed. Phew ... first disaster averted.
I guess I was a little bit hopeful of a good points haul over the two nights of racing, especially since the engine is performing the best it ever has. Plus considering our good turn of speed at the opening round I think my expectations were a little high. However a reality check hit in the first heat when we missed the set-up by a long shot on a very slick track. Heat 2 was somewhat better but 811 was still passed by many of the guns that appeared to be in this group and starting directly behind me. The 25 lap final wasn't great either and although we managed to improve the car it was somewhat too late so had to settle for mid pack meaning average points for the night.
Celebrating the completion
of all races without any damage seemed to be the only sensible thing to do. Aye Graham? LOL
So off to Dunedin we headed the following morning and prepped the car for round 3. There appeared to be little problems with 811 and just getting a better handle on the first race set-up seems to be whats needed.
Yet again though we were starting at the rear and never improved so with no other cars falling off it was minimal points dammit. Heat 2 saw a marked improvement after we made changes to the car which had us finishing in 3rd while holding off several challenges from Richie Taylor. This was a good race and showed that 811 can race hard and our lap times were virtually identical to many of the hot-shots in the series. The 25 lap final was a real hot pace and I found myself dropping several places in the opening laps. However after a few in-car adjustments we managed to get going and make around 6 passes before race end. So looking at the points overall we are solidily in the top 10. And although as mentioned earlier my expectations may have been a little high, we have to be happy with an undamaged car and a reasonably strong position at the midway point of the series. It is also very pleasing to remind myself that 811 has finished every race in the Elf Super Cup so far this season.
The comraraderie within the Elf Super Cup is still strong and always a pleasure to be part of. It is also very interesting to see the number of drivers which are improving within the series. There appears to be 3 races developing within the points chase. It's gonna take a very dominant drive from the chasers and possibly some bad luck in the Burson camp for him not to win the series. Taylor, Grocott, Elliott & North have their own battle going on in the top 5 now. 6th to 10th is becoming an interesting race to clinch a place in the North v South Team. Watching this area within the points chase will be worth the price of admission alone. These guy's will be going the hardest they possibly can to make the team but not become part of a tangle or incident along the way (myself included).
Plus there are some very quickly improving teams who I'm sure will be wanting to step up and sneak into the mix. Paul Wright has also shown a great turn of speed making the top 8 shoot-out in Dunedin.

At this stage I need to thank a bunch of people for all their help in keeping 811 on track for the weekend. Obviously Graham & Scott Williamson of
X Factor Cars, Wentworth Carrying, Oasis Concrete & Paving, plus Glen, Warren, Casey for all their work on 811. And I can't forget my Invercargill crew Woody, Albert, Sonya & Nicky. Always a great time to be had aye team! Plus thanks to Mike Dixon for the photo's ... great work!
Next meeting is the double header at Cromwell Waitangi weekend for the SI Champs plus round 4 of the Elf Super Cup. Gonna be HUGE ... Can't Wait!!!
Cheers ... Flash

Cromwell - 1st Jan 2014 & Woodford Glen - 4th January 2014
Now that's a real busy way to start off the new year. 2 race meetings only a couple of days apart. Due to the lack of local racing over xmas we ventured to Cromwell with the assistance of Wentworth Carrying towing 811 down for us. We needed some track time as we were still chasing this engine misfire problem. Anyhow the trip proved both frustrating yet useful in the fact that the engine was no better but we managed to eliminate many possible causes. Although we finished all races trouble free we still couldn't make any head way on track. However it was great to catch up with Kate and Graham Williamson of X Factor Cars and much appreciated the hospitality thank you both.
So it was back home the next day and basically spent every moment available to check and re-check the injection system. So I decided it was time to eliminate all the electrical system again. I borrowed a Joe Hunt magneto from BRT and decided another run at the Glen was gonna be the last attempt before I handed the whole car over to someone else to sort.
Well from the moment I had the engine tuned it appeared (and sounded) as though we were onto something. The engine is now running the best it ever has and I gotta say that it feels completely different to drive. It is much more powerful than ever and now we are gonna be hunting for rear end grip a lot more seriously than before. I might even get some adrenalin going again if this keeps up!
Graham even made the trip north to see if we had the X Factor happening so it just seemed right to celebrate till 5.30am LOL.
Next meeting will be rounds 2 & 3 of the Elf Super Cup in Invercargill and Dunedin (24th & 25th Jan). Really looking forward to that weekend.
Meantime we will fly up to Auckland and take in the NZ Champs at Waikaraka Park Auckland.
Cheers for now ... Flash

Elf Super Cup Round 1 - Woodford Glen Speedway - 23rd November 2013
Been looking forward to the Elf Super Cup all off season. A lot of work by a whole bunch of people goes into making this series work and I feel just to be part of it is a privilege.
This year a new promotion system has been developed to have each driver obtain a $500 support partner to go into the prize pool. Each printed logo is then randomly drawn by each driver to display on their race cars for the series. We submitted an X Factor Cars logo and are very proud for this to end up on the Dennis Bolt 6c Corvette. And ironically we drew the Riverlands Golf logo to be displayed on 811.
Now onto the racing. Heat 1 had us starting from grid 7 and after spending a heap of time studying on the net as to how these methanol injection systems are to be set-up I was hopeful of a good run with the car. Well that idea was instantly negated when the engine ran the worst it ever has done dammit. 811 finished in around 8th but things were not looking good. We decided to change the injection and ignition timing back to as close as possible to what we usually run and try again for heat 2. I even said that if the engine wasn't running reasonably that we would just park her on the trailer for the rest of the night. Well things were about to change ... big time! We started on grid 4 and the engine felt good (not 100%) but good enough to put in some reasonable laps. So I pressed on and HELLO ... came away with a race win. Just when people probably had us written off.
OH how this game can change, BUT it was about to get even better!
We found ourselves not only in the top 8 shootout but 5th overall on points. We dropped a position in the shootout to a very quick and consistent 73 Mark Grocott however very happy to be starting the 25 lap feature from grid 6. This feature race had a whole bunch of stuff going on and I managed a great start to pass both Mark and 881 Bruce Boulton. Now to say this is new territory for 811 is an understatement but further into the race we started challenging 2nz Richie Taylor for 2nd place. I recall thinking to myself at the time that both Richie and the leading car 3nz Ian Burson seemed to be going quite slow (how random is that?) We actually passed Richie nearing the end of the race but he managed an inside dive to get the spot back which in turn dropped us back to 4th. On the race to the finish line we just could'nt quite get by Ian who slowed as he was the victim of a punctured tyre. Oh how close we were to a podium finishing 4th. To cap the night off we were presented with the "Driver of the Night Award" which just goes to show after that first race ... never give up! We are now 5th overall in the Elf super Cup Points Chase so what a great start. Thanks heaps to Warren and Glen for all the efforts in the workshop and to the BMS Motorsport team for your pit-crewing on the night and Casey for videoing the winning race.
Due to lack of funding the north island excursion is highly unlikely to happen now so the next meeting for 811 will probably be the annual Boxing Day Remembrance Championships here at the Glen. Meantime have a safe and Merry Xmas everyone.
And special thanks to Brian Hopping of Mainland Photos for the checkered flag images.
Cheers ... Pam & Roger

Woodford Glen - 26th October 2013
After a real huge effort we managed to debut the new look 811 tonight at the annual Woodford Glen fireworks meeting.
We really gotta thank a bunch of people for all the hard work done on 811 to get us on-track. Warren Slee, Glen Campbell, Natasha Rodgers, John Hocken, Les Hunter Racing Products, Kaiapoi Trailers to name a few. It's been a massive effort to transform the car from Easters double roll-over wreck.
A lot of people liked the new rear end design to the car as well as the new X Factor Cars graphics , plus the new team shirt design is looking sharp. Thanks too for all the great comments trackside everyone.
Now onto the racing ... we ran out of time to be able to get 811 scaled or even get any reasonable set-up
so it was just get on the track and go. However the pressure was on once the grid draw had us off the front in our first race LOL. We were looking good for a real good placing too until the last lap when inside contact broke both the steering and left rear supsension dammit! A great effort in the pits and we had everything repaired just in time and we went on to finish the next two races (somewhat tenatively) amongst the hard chargers. I gotta say that if the racing continues like this, the fibreglassers and paint shops are gonna be kept busy. Our next meeting will probably be round 1 of the Elf Lubricants Super Cup at our home track on 23rd November. So we have got plenty of time to get sorted and straighten 811 out.
Till then we got work to do. Cheers ... Flash

Practice - Woodford Glen Speedway - 5th October 2013
Had a test session in the BMS Motorsport Team 23c Monaro today.
Was great to get back on track again. Ryan has had major surgery so is taking a short break from the drivers seat. He's got a new engine in the car so to get a heat cycle thru and sort some oil leaks was the main objective of the day. I think we both learnt a bit too. One surprise for me was to realise how lethargic the 811 engine is. We have got to do something to improve the response of our engine cos this Monaro has some serious boogie in comparison. It was probably one of the quickest cars there as we received heaps of good comments on the speed we were carrying from lots of people. Very encouraging!!!

Woodford Glen - 29th March 2013
Ryan Berry has been having all sorts of trouble sorting his 23c Monaro since the big crash earlier in the season. He was hopeful of getting the engine back in for a run tonight however when that didn't happen we offered Ryan the use of 811 instead. As this was the final meeting for the season and only a few super saloons were running off the back of the A Grades, what harm could be done aye! We also used tonight as an opportunity to try eliminating some components to rectify the ongoing engine missfire. Well in his second heat Ryan was starting to go real good albeit with the engine still not performing to it's potential. But all this was about to turn to custard because in virtually the identical spot on the track to his Canty Champs crash the rear axle snapped on 811. This sent the car left forcing the right rear wheel including the remainder of the axle along with all the right rear shock and suspension under the car. Then "boom" this assembly dug into the ground bouncing the car into the air and a double rollover. Luckily the rollcage just brushed the ground so the impact was basically on the suspension each time it hit the ground and this minimised the force transferred through the car. So Ryan although being shaken up again got away without injury and the car although looking very second hand has also got away without major chassis damage. I felt really sorry for Teresa and the boys as they really don't need to be seeing this sort of incident again so soon after the last one. I dunno whether this guy is jinxed or if he is just getting rid of all the bad luck at the start of his speedway career but would like to think he can keep the wheels on the ground from here on.
So that's it for this season and although we have a lot more work to do in the workshop than anticipated, I still gotta say it was a HUGE success for us. Check out the workshop page during winter as I will keep it updated as required throughout the off-season re-build.

North v South Supernats - Wellington Speedway - 22nd & 23rd March 2013
WHAT A WICKED WEEKEND IN WELLINGTON ... an absolute BUZZ to be part of this awesome event. Although I headed up there on my lonesome it was great to meet up with sister Fiona who got stuck in and helped out with the car at the track. Just as well too thanks sis cos there was no way I woulda got all that squishy clay off 811 by myself on the friday. First heat and I was off the back of the grid on a less than ideal track which was just too sticky for most of the cars. We never improved however we finished and then Fiona and I spent
most of the time remaining just de-mudding the car. The second heat was a vast improvement and 811 returned a 4th placing finish which I considered to be very good indeed considering the environment we were among. This put 811 starting the feature on grid 15 for the feature (if only I'd managed to improve in that first heat things could have been far better). However things were about to get better for us anyway and the carwas improving as the meeting progressed and liked the surface so much that we finished a very credible 10th overall. STOKED AGAIN !!! And we started having other teams and some of them north island teams come over to congratulate us for the effort. Awesome stuff and very proud to be associated with the whole event.
Saturday saw Fiona and I prepping 811 at the track during the afternoon and also got some assistance from Steve Templeton and Craig Petrie (thanks heaps guy's). Tonight was the sprint type format with four car by four lap races followed by ten car by ten lap races then a 30 lap all in final.
The track was a whole heap better than the previous night and 811 was leaving from grid two outside last years NZ champion 5b Steve Flynn. Now this is where things just got a whole lot better for us cos not only did I manage to get ahead and into turn one before Steve but also went on to win the race. After this race I was astonished by the amount of praise and congratulations we received from other drivers and team members from all over the country. This race alone to me made the whole season entirely worth the hard work we put into our car day after day. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !!! I couldn't repeat the achievement in our second heat but did however follow Steve across the line for a very satisfying 2nd place. In the ten lap race we finished around 6th place after making hurried repairs to a deteriorating rear brake (thanks for the help again boys). At the start of the 30 lap feature 811 was involved with a bit of contact and we lost a bit of track position but regathered to start challenging the lead pack. Although I tried and tried for many laps I just could not make a pass on 24w Martin Halcrow although I did manage to get alongside a couple of times. This still rewarded us with a 5th place finish overall which is a HUGE achievement considering the class of the field.
To say I was estatic after the weekends efforts is an understatement. To have a reliable car, plus do so well in that evironment is very encouraging. A big congratulations to everyone involved over the weekend for putting this event together and thank you to Bryan Comerford for his generous support of the event. And given the opportunity again 811 will most definitely race in Wellington again in the future. Was great to catch up with my Wellington relatives too but just never enough time when you are racing a double header. So that's it for our race season and just when 811 was going real good. Hopefully we can carry this momentum into next season. Meantime we will carry out the odd workshop page update during the off-season.
Cheers for now ... Flash

Elf Super Cup - Rounds 6 & 7 - Cromwell/Dunedin - 15th & 16th March 2013
Prior to this meeting I received a very welcoming phone call from Graham Williamson of X Factor Cars in Invercargill. He very generously offered to provide support for these two meetings which was very much appreciated thank you Graham. Just goes to show what a little extra effort can achieve and I hope we can continue to promote X Factor Cars in the future.
Now onto the racing ... I was quietly confident of a reasonable result prior to our run at Cromwell although I never let on to anyone. Last season 811 was going real quick on this track (until I got it all wrong) so I was really looking forward to giving the track another go. And this quiet confidence didn't disappoint either ... I drew a grid 2 start for the first heat and although passed by a couple of the "guns" 811 finished 5th. In the second heat we started from the rear row of the grid and managed to make several good passes. These combined results saw us in the Top 8 Shoot-Out for the second time in the Elf Super Cup and again challenging 2nz Richie Taylor LOL. I managed to stay along the inside of Richie for a good portion of the first lap but just couldn't get turned into turn 3 however very happy to be starting the final from grid 8. And in the final we had a great dice with 12n Shane Carey and finished mid-pack but still collected a good amount of points to finish 9th overall in the points table for the night.
We stayed overnight with Aaron's parents in Roxburgh (thanks heaps for your hospitality) and we even prepped the car there before heading off to Dunedin in the morning. It proved to be a lot tougher here and a crappy grid 9 draw for the first heat and another crappy grid 10 draw for the second heat meant the night was always gonna be a struggle. Got 811 flyin' in the hot- laps again but just can't seem to transfer that onto the heat races for some reason (need bigger balls maybe LOL). Contact with 12n Shane Carey hindered our progress in the first heat too as the diff shifted and jammed sideways in the car. Aaron repaired this and although we started the feature minus the left hand side panel (thanks to 17c Kane Lawson during the second heat) we made up a heap of placings from our grid 14 start to finish 7th. So after a tally of all the series points we had finished 10th which is a HUGE improvement from last years effort when we were virtually last. Plu adding to that we had made the team for the North V South Supernats to be held in Wellington next weekend ... OH YEAH, absolutely stoked !!!

Elf Super Cup - Rounds 4 & 5 - Ruapuna / Woodford Glen - 1st & 2nd March 2013
Yes ... Ruapuna Speedway were hosts of round 4 of the Elf Super Cup series on the friday night and then back to our home track on saturday for round 5.
This was the first time that Super Saloons have raced at Ruapuna Speedway in such an event so it was always going to be a great spectacle. And it was great for us in the sense that we led for the first lap of the first race (see video clip). We had some reasonable car speed at Ruapuna however 811 broke the left front coil spring mount which saw the suspension collapse forcing us to lose several placings. After repairing the suspension we ventured out for heat 2 and we managed to make up a lot of ground in this race.
After a point count up 811 was into the top 8 shoot-out for the first time. This was new territory for us which had 811 facing up against current 2NZ Richie Taylor. Although we lost that battle it was very pleasing to be part of the shoot-out and to be starting the feature from grid 8. And although we were involved in a bingle during the race (damaging the new front panels again) we progressed thru to finish a very credible 5th place. So an extremely good night for the team and well deserved with the amount of work we have been doing on the car recently. This even advanced us up to 9th overall in the series which is a huge improvement on last seasons effort.
Saturday night back to the Glen and we drew two middle grid starts for the heats which didn't help us at all. We finished both heats without major dramas but only ended up starting the feature from grid 11. In this race we had a good battle with Dennis Bolt eventually passing him and finishing 8th. Kane Lawson had a great night scoring a heap of points and took over our 9th place in the series but I'm definately still wrapt to be in the top 10 overall.
Our next meeting is another double header with the final 2 rounds of the Elf Super Cup in Cromwell and Dunedin 15th & 16th March. Gonna be awesome! However got a few more maintenance things to sort including the broken left rear inboard brake rotor mount. We were very lucky this didn't smash a whole lotta stuff in the rear.

Woodford Glen Speedway - NZ Super Saloon Champs - 15/16 February 2013
WOW !!! ... What a massive weekend. It all started earlier in the week actually with 11m Kevin Moore staying with us and we played two days of golf before even getting into working on the race cars. Our car was the 100th car that Kevy built so he was real keen to get stuck in and make sure everything was spot (but not before he did some housework as penance for losing golf LOL).
Now onto the racing ... Friday was qualifying night for the NZ Champs and since Kevy had made several changes to the car we decided to join the practice session. This proved that the changes were spot on and we had a real good set-up.
Heat 1 we left from grid 6 and although I lost three spots during the race it was to some very fast drivers so not all bad yet.
Heat 2 we were leaving from the rear of the field and in this race we progressed 5 places then I ended up half spinning when getting a touch on the right front corner. This started a chain of crash contact with two other cars leaving us parked side ways in the middle of the track just out of turn 4 dammit. This had us to the rear for the re-start however we still managed to get back to finish around 9th again.
Click to ViewHeat 3 and this is where our qualifying chances were looking good. 811 was leaving from grid 2 and with the changes Kevy made to the car we were confident of a good performance. For the first two laps 811 was hooking up well and looking really fast however with such good traction from this set-up the torque arm on the diff snapped into several pieces which tore the rear driveshaft out of the car ending our race. Qualifying chances gone! Had we finished this race we would have qualified and moved into the championship finals dammit again!!!
We spent all day saturday repairing the damage and it's here that I gotta thank a whole lotta people for an awesome effort to get 811 going again. My crewman Aaron has spent heaps of hours and Kevy spent the day at the workshop working on our car instead of his own. Josh and Bruce Boulton supplied parts from their own cars so we could continue to race ... thanks heaps to all these guys.
Saturday night and we entered the last chance repercharge with 811 leaving from grid 11. It was always gonna be difficult when only the first two cars progress but I was really pleased to advance thru the pack and finish in 6th. The car felt great so now our concentration was to finish three heats for the Ampro Tools Trophy.
Heat 1 we were leaving from grid 10 and although we had progressed up to 5th at one stage I ran into the back of 12n Shane Carey mid-race. This tore up the right front corner of the car and had it lookin' below average for the rest of the meeting. However we still managed to finish in 7th place.
Heat 2 had us leaving from grid 4 with a good opportunity to improve however I made some rash changes to the car which just did not work at all and within several laps we got overtaken by a bunch of cars ending up in 8th DOH!
Final heat and leaving from grid 7. This race was difficult as the track had started going quite slick but after undoing the stupid set-up changes I had made the car was reasonable and we finished 5th.
This put us 6th overall which considering the dramas of the weekend I consider to be a respectable result. Kevy finished 5th overall so we celebrated till the wee hours and our next meeting is the Elf Super Cup rounds 4 & 5 at Ruapuna and Woodford Glen on 1st/2nd March.
Lookin' forward to it already. Cheers ... Flash

Riverside Speedway - 25th & 26th January 2013
Thursday night saw Aaron & I heading south to take in the third round of the Elf Super Cup series plus the South Island Super Saloon Championships. It's a reasonable haul down to Invercargill so we stopped over in Dunedin to allow an early start Friday. We wanted to get 811 on display at X Factor Cars in appreciation for their support of the weekends racing. Was great to meet Graham Williamson and his family and we were especially wrapt to have a colour photo appear in the Southland Times on the saturday morning too (choice!!!) Just goes to show a little bit of effort is often rewarded.
Friday - Elf Super Cup
A very hot day so the track prep team did very well in such conditions however the track was always gonna be slick with 20 Super Saloons tearing it up. We only managed a couple of passes in the first heat from our rearward grid start however a 4th place finish in heat 2 had us in the top 10 for the final. After the first two rounds in Blenheim and Nelson we were holding 10th overall in the series and if I could finish reasonably in this feature race we would advance to 9th overall. And that is what we were looking at doing cos I had passed Mike Verdoner and was swapping positions with Dennis Bolt when "boom" the R/F steering arm tore out from the hub due to the turn 3 rut I kept hitting wrong, race over "dammit". However all is not lost yet cos we are still 10th overall in the series with four rounds to go. It is very encouraging to know 811 when set-up correctly to the track conditions becomes a very quick car. We are definately knocking on the door of the top guns in this game but now I just gotta get my foot in the door somewhat. Gonna be interesting to see if we can achieve it and just what we can do to improve that little bit more. So a very enjoyable night and a lot of fun plus there was plenty of discussion and banter untill the wee hours of the morning. Great times!!!
Saturday - South Island Championships
Again a very hot day and a big thanks goes to Albert for opening up his workshop and helping to clean and prep 811 on saturday. Thanks to my crew man Aaron plus Woody for a huge effort cos we completely stripped and rebuilt the front suspension in the car to ensure we would be reliable for the nights four big races. Another huge thank you to Lloyd Phillips of Cleanways 2003 Ltd for supporting us. Your contribution helps make the whole excursion that much bearable when on a tight budget. It was good to finally meet with you too.
In the first heat I made some reasonable ground but all of a sudden it was like someone threw a switch and turned off all the traction we had to the track and I spun up exiting turn 4 dammit. So sent to the back of the field for the re-start while losing a lot of possible points. Second heat I managed to come home near mid pack but I definately wasn't doing myself any favours points wise. In the final heat I was bawked something wicked while cars freight-trained past resulting in another crappy finish. So from the 21 cars that started the night we found ourselves leaving from grid 16 for the one race championship deal. This is where I think we learnt a bit cos at flag drop I immediately took up the challenge to make out-side passes which managed to stick. Next minute we were up behind Bruce Boulton so knowing the proverbial "lack of traction" switch would soon be activated I just settled in and followed Bruce to the checkered finishing in 12th place. After all the average placings in the heats we were absolutely wrapt to have finished the night on a high and now we look forward to the NZ Champs at Woodford Glen on the 15th Feb.
Gotta thank Paul and Sonya Wood for their outstanding hospitality. Hopefully we can return the favour when you come up for the nationals LOL.
Yours in Racing ... Flash

Woodford Glen Speedway - 19th January 2013
With xmas holidays and Pam & I taking off to the GC for a while it's been a long time between race meetings. However we eventually came back to reality and realised a lot of work was still required to get 811 race ready. The motor was still sitting on the floor plus things like the suspension needed attention. Chipping away got us there including working all day race day so it was good to be getting back in the drivers seat again.
Tonight we were supporting the NZ Superstock GP at the Glen and with the weather being warm and dry it was always gonna be slick. Josh had grid 1 with us starting from grid 2 for the first race. If anything we set-up the car a little bit tight so although I managed to get into turn 1 ahead of Josh our car promptly launched into a reasonable wheel stand which cost us valuable track position. Although we ran pretty well in this race I lost several placings to some of the "top guns" however a 5th place was a good start considering how many bits the car had been in recently.
Race 2 had us off grid 9 and as soon as we went to exit our pit the clutch hydraulics gave up in the Bert gearbox. So we needed to push start the car on the track to make the remaining races. We had a quick car on the slick dusty track in this race making four passes just chipping away on the pole line before a caution bunched the cars again. Several laps from the end of the race I overcooked it slightly and half spun in turn 4 cutting off Click to ViewKane who we had passed earlier. So all the good work was undone dammit! losing several spots in the process.
Race 3 wasn't good at all and even though I started towards the rear I hit Kane again (sorry again dude!) when he checked up for a crash right in front of us. After this I just tried some in-car adjustments to try learning a little while staying out of trouble.
So results wise we didn't do much but it's still very encouraging to know we have a quick car when we get the set-up close to being right. And lastly I gotta thank Pam for not being grumpy cos today was her birthday but she did get the night off from pit-crewing LOL.

Elf Super Cup - Rounds 1 & 2 - Blenheim / Nelson - 14th & 15th Decembar 2012
What a bloody awesome weekend. Really "full on" and heaps of fun and entertainment. The whole atmosphere of this series is very exciting.
I drew crappy grid 9 for heat 1 and grid 11 for heat 2. Didn't make much ground but more importantly didn't lose any. 811 has improved immensely since last years series, so much so that we found ourselves 9th overall after the heats only just missing out on the top 8 for the Pole Shuffle.
From our grid 9 start in the final I lost two places with a tear-off problem but was very pleased to now be finishing mid-field rather than down the pack.
Click to ViewI was really looking forward to round 2 at my favopurite track Nelson. I drew grids 14 and 3 for the heats but in heat 1 I spun on the last lap when attempting to pass a lapped car. The ensuing contact with another car produced my first dnf which was quite dissappointing. However with the support of a couple of ring-in crew members from Ryan Berry's team the car had the front suspension replaced in time for heat 2. Thanks heaps guys! This race also delivered us a personal best 4th place finish for the series to date and yet again 9th place grid for the final, just outside of the top 8 again for the Pole Shuffle. In the final we finshed 8th and this promoted us to 10th overall in the series after 2 rounds. Very pleasing considering the level of competition out there.
However a lot of work now needs to be done over the next few weeks because the engine went a bit flat in the second to last lap of the weekend so need to investigate. I'm gonna remove the engine and get the it checked out by my engine builder ASAP. Really don't need this right now as Pam & I are heading to the Gold Coast next weekend. I have a strange feeling that there will be some late nights done in the workshop to ensure 811 will be ready. Our new posters are hot off the press too. Check em out here.
Our next scheduled race meeting is the double header in Invercargill which is round 3 of the Elf Super Cup plus the South Island Championship. Meantime have a great Christmas and we will see ya's n the New Year

Woodford Glen Speedway - 24th November 2012
Tonight was our Canterbury Championships at The Glen and although I've won twice in the A Grade class I never had any high expectations to be on the podium in this Super Saloon class. However my sister Fiona has just migrated back from Spain and she's only ever seen me race once before and I won the championship easily back then. She chose to be with us on the team tonight so I was hopeful of a top 10 finish to be realistic. I was soon to be proven how UN-realistic that idea was!
Now I'm the first to admit that I don't have a lot of desperation to win (not like I used to) and just wanna have a great fun time racing at this level. Plus with Casey's recent accident taking a lot of our time I guess my head space just wasn't quite in the right frame of mind tonight.
Anyhow enough of the excuses and onto the racing ... 19 cars fronted and we started the first heat from grid 8. I always thought this would be a frantic night with some guy's desperate to stamp their mark in the Super Saloons plus the existing top performers wanting to continue their dominance so to speak.
So yes the pace was fast but I totally mis-read how dry the track was by the time our first heat came round. 811 struggled for rear end grip right from the start and my "mash the go pedal to the floor" style of racing just did not help the situation. (gee I gotta learn some throttle control). I managed to run the first half of the race holding a reasonable placing in the top 10 while making several in-car adjustments along the way and trying different race lines searching for grip. But the inevitable happened and 811 swapped ends on me entering turn 3 too quick so I did a 360 spin loosing a few places. On the last lap I did the same thing but this time stalling the car mid turn dammit! In my haste to get it going and moving I jammed up the gears somewhat which continued to be an issue throughout the night.

Heat 2 and I thought the changes we made would have sorted our problem however the car got so much grip on the right rear that the whole car basically did a huge wheel stand while pirouetting on the r/r tyre and spun again dammit!
H
eat 3 continued on our disasterous night when the front driveshaft snapped at the front yoke before I even made the green flag ... dammit again!!! This was a brand new driveshaft this time last season and it turns out a it appears to have been flawed from manufacture with a partial crack which obviously found it's limit over the weekend.
So ... not a good night for us but no-where as bad as fellow racer Ryan Berry who has just stepped into the Super Saloon class (see last picture).

Our next meeting is the first weekend of the ELF Super Cup with Friday 14th Dec at Blenheim's Eastern States Speedway
then Saturday 15th Dec at Nelson's Top of the South Speedway. This series is definitely a highlight for us so a reliable car is our aim. Hope to see ya's there.

Cheers ... Flash

Woodford Glen Speedway - 27th October 2012
Today we had 811 on display at the new Woodford Glen Shop to assist with promotion. Tonight was the annual Fireworks meeting with approx 10,000 people in attendance. We also arranged the corporate box for our supporters so were hoping for a trouble free performance from 811. We not only achieved that but were absolutlety stoked to win race 1 and follow it up with 3rd in race 2. What a great improvement for the team and finally a just reward for our efforts. That win didn't come easy though and early in the race we diced for the lead with 881 Bruce Boulton. After a few laps we managed to edge away somewhat but that was short lived when a caution bunched the field up again. At this stage the last few laps were a race to the flag with 58 Richie Taylor
charging hard to place 2nd ahead of Bruce. Only 0.8 of a second covered these 3 cars as they crossed the finish line. Very pleased it was 811 first though so Pam and I partied till 4am in celebration. LOL
A lot of good feedback on the night too plus a couple of interviews. Also on wed night this week I am to be interviewed by Jase at www.thepits.racing.org.nz so listen in if you are keen.

Woodford Glen Speedway - 20th October 2012
Wow ... what a great opening night at the Glen. After the issues we had and the diagnosing work on the car chasing that misfire I wasn't overly worried about performance and results. Although the Moller & Young Trophy Challenge has trophies up for grabs for the top 5 placegetters I wasn't really concerned and basically just wanted the engine to be running well and have a trouble free night. Only managing an 8th place finish in heat 1 sorta suggested 811 wasn't gonna be in the top 5 anyhow. But I was pleased that the engine is perfoming much better and the car is finally starting to produce some speed.
When heading to the grid for heat 2 a rear suspension rod-end snapped which I kinda thought we would be outta that race. However with a little bit of help from a few people close at hand we got stuck in and changed the part in question and just made it onto the track before the pit gate closed. Great work team!!! Although I am still struggling to get my head round a set-up for Woodford Glen's track conditions, 811 went a lot better in this race. Result ... a very handy 4th and a very pleased team.
The final heat had us off grid 1 and apart from Ian Burson and Richie Taylor getting by we finished a real strong 3rd from Josh Boulton & Mark Osborne. And very pleased to be awarded 4th place trophy overall for the night.
Got a few things to sort on 811 for next weekend but looking forward to the meeting cos we have the corporate box for our support partners to enjoy.

Woodford Glen Speedway Practice - 6th October 2012
Spent the morning in the workshop preparing the car for a test run. However a bit of a frustrating practice for us today. We have a major engine misfire issue which we need to sort. However the car looks great in it's new livery and we received plenty of good feedback. MikeyB has put a video clip on YouTube as well.
